NanoStudio’s aim is to help you make music. And to achieve this goal, it puts several handy features at your disposal: a versatile synth, a useful mixer, a sample editor, and more. The developer managed to bundle a lot of useful functionality into a good looking application – an application that you can use to come up with music.

NanoStudio is available for multiple platforms – desktop as well as mobile. You can use the application on your Mac OS X or on your Windows-powered desktop machine for free. And if you purchase the NanoStudio app, you can also use it on your iOS-powered mobile device – iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
If you install the Windows version, you will get to use all three versions: desktop, mobile and tablet.

You will see that there are links for three NanoStudio versions: NanoStudio (this one is for the desktop), NanoStudio Phone, and NanoStudio Tablet. The layout of NanoStudio is best suited for desktop PCs and for mouse operations. NanoStudio Phone and Tablet are there to give you a taste of what it’s like to use the application on an iPhone or on an iPad. No matter which one you go for, you’ll find the interface to be easy to use and quite good looking.

Here’s a quick look at NanoStudio’s main features: Eden versatile synth to create a variety of analogue sounds; you can use multiple synths simultaneously; virtual patchbay that allows you to connect 3 envelope generators and 4 beat-sync LFO's; dual X/Y controllers, accelerometer input and a pitch bend wheel; TRG-16 performance pad instrument for triggering samples; built-in mic to record samples; resample the main mix output; comprehensive sequencer; effects; and more.

Go ahead and give NanoStudio a try. If you like it, go get NanoStudio for your smartphone or tablet.

Pros

NanoStudio is available for multiple platforms: Windows, Mac, iOS. The good looking interface is quite easy to use. You have access to lots of handy features you can use to create music. The Windows version is free.
